The information was shared during an interview with Warner Bros. Pictures co-chairs/CEOs Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, as reported by Deadline. Both executives expressed strong interest in leveraging established intellectual properties. In response to being questioned about potential sequels to "A Minecraft Movie" and "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," De Luca stated, “It’s imminent. While contracts may still be under negotiation, we’re moving forward quickly.”

No additional information was provided about the upcoming sequel, which left many questions open. Is Tim Burton going to helm this third installment? Are Michael Keaton or any of the previous cast members expected to reprise their roles? And will it indeed bear the title everyone seems to think—"Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice"?

It may be unclear if Burton or the rest of the cast will continue, but we likely don’t need to stress over whether Keaton would take up his role again. When asked last year about potentially returning for a third movie, E! News The actor from "Birdman" replied, "Absolutely, I would do it annually, yes."

However, Burton may not share the same level of enthusiasm. At a press event last year, when asked about potentially directing a third installment during an interview with /Film, his response did not seem overly optimistic.

"Sure, they discuss it, whatever, but based on the current timeline, I’d reach that point after turning 100 years old, which could happen, yet I’m not sure,” Burton stated. “Given today’s advancements in medicine, who knows though. Personally, I must admit, I didn’t find myself particularly drawn to it—if suggested otherwise, I would avoid it completely. It was an idea that somehow piqued my interest; whether another opportunity will arise remains uncertain. At least at present, since I am still wrapping up with this project.”

Given how well the previous movie performed, it’s understandable that Warner Bros. is keen on producing a third installment. “Beetlejuice” from last year received mostly favorable critiques and importantly, drew substantial audiences to theaters. This heritage sequel grossed approximately $452 million with an initial production cost of around $100 million.

"Beetlejuice 3" is not the sole iconic property that Warner Bros. is developing. According to an interview with Deadline, they also have upcoming plans for "The Matrix," "Ocean’s Eleven," "The Lord of the Rings," "Gremlins," "Goonies," "Cat in the Hat," and others.
