Ukrainian Military Unleashes Drones Equipped with 20-Kilometer Fiber Optics at Front Lines — Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Ukrainian military is progressively augmenting its fleet of fiber-optic drones, enhancing both their quantity and performance.

In March, Ukrainian drones took out over 77,000 Russian targets, marking a 10% rise compared to February figures. Additionally, Syrskyi mentioned that around 1,000 Russian surveillance drones were taken down during this timeframe.

To counter the growing threat of Russian drones, Ukraine is deploying new electronic warfare systems and increasing the number of short-range systems on the front lines.
On April 1st, the Brave1 initiative declared that Fifteen developers carried out extensive testing on fiber-optic-enabled FPV drones with the ability to fly over 20 kilometers. .
These drones have become crucial for Ukraine’s military efforts, with Brave1 noting that fiber-optic drones are among the most in-demand UAV types at the front.
