"If the dog moves around, this is recorded by the collar. You input into your mobile app the quantity of food provided each time. This app syncs with the collar to track daily calorie burn based on the dog’s activity level. Hence, should the dog expend extra energy through increased movements, you could consider giving additional food accordingly," clarified Williams.

However, if the dog hasn’t used up its energy reserves but continues to seem hungry, the collar will inform you whether the dog actually requires food or not. You can check the app, which may respond with something like ‘Can I feed my dog?’ If it replies 'Liar,' then your dog is fine and does not need food.
At this stage, 'you could consider alternatives such as giving the dog a chew toy or something similar that doesn’t add more calories,' according to Williams.
