Teenager Dies After Being Struck by Car Outside Bradford McDonald’s

A 15-year-old boy passed away after being struck by a vehicle near a McDonald's in Bradford on Friday evening.

A teenage individual tragically collided with a black Volkswagen Golf GTI in front of the quick-service eatery on Bradford Road, Eccleshill, approximately at 10:45 pm on April 4th.

West Yorkshire Police the youth was walking across the road when the unfortunate accident happened.

He was rushed to the hospital with "extremely severe injuries" but unfortunately succumbed to them just before midnight today.

A 35-year-old male driver has been taken into custody for allegedly committing offenses such as causing death through reckless driving and suspected drugged driving. He continues to be held by law enforcement today.

The police are currently asking for people with information and those who might possess CCTV or dashboard camera recordings that could assist them in their investigation.

Detective Inspector Paul Conroy of the Major Collision and Enquiry Team, said: 'A number of enquiries remain ongoing into this very serious incident which has resulted in a 15-year-old male tragically losing his life.

We are striving to assist his parents and we are reaching out to any potential witnesses of the crash or individuals who might have seen the black Volkswagen Golf or the young person shortly before the incident occurred.

We would additionally appreciate hearing from individuals who possess CCTV or dashboard camera recordings that could aid our investigation.
