Tech Giants Pay Up for White House Easter Egg Roll Spotlights: Reports
The annual White House Easter Egg Roll may have a different feel this year after several tech companies have reportedly paid a pretty penny to sponsor the event.
According to multiple reports, Elon Musk's Meta, YouTube, Amazon, and other tech companies entered high-dollar partnerships for possible branding opportunities.
Traditionally, the event is privately funded. This year, CNN reported that some sponsors were ponying up between $75,000 and $200,000.
"Along with the traditional Egg Roll and Egg Hunt—which both include genuine, small-to-medium-sized eggs generously provided by American egg farmers—visitors can look forward to an extensive variety of engaging activities courtesy of the White House Historical Association and its collaborations," the White House said in a statement.
Ever since the late 19th century, the White House Easter Egg Roll has been a staple event in Washington D.C., tracing its origins back to the presidency of Rutherford B. Hayes.
This turned into a yearly occurrence on the South Lawn, except during specific significant events such as the World Wars, food shortages, and theCOVID-19 pandemic.
The annual White House Easter Egg Roll will take place on Monday, April 21, at the South Lawn.

Officials stated that this year’s event will provide kids and their families nationwide with a chance to enjoy a day filled with entertainment, education, and cherished memories. The 2025 festivities will include an impressive array of live shows at the Bunny Hop Stage as well as notable readings at the Reading Nook.
