Saoirse Ronan Expresses Disappointment Over Missing Out on Big Movie Roles

Even though she is currently one of the most sought-after actresses globally, it appears as though Saoirse Ronan Is not protected from rejection.

In the books, Luna is not specifically identified as Irish, but she has an Irish accent in the movies. As per Ronan, the casting directors sought out an Irish person for the role.

It appears that "Harry Potter" wasn't the sole cult classic movie she tried out for. She also lamented missing the opportunity to be part of "The Hobbit," which was helmed by director Peter Jackson as a precursor to "The Lord of the Rings."
