Pope Francis made his initial formal public appearance before a massive audience since bout of pneumonia .
The 88-year-old pope received medical attention at Rome 'Stayed at St. Gemelli Hospital for five weeks following double pneumonia.'
Pope Francis was spotted wheeling himself down a ramp in a wheelchair at St. Peter’s Square. the Vatican even though he recently had a stint in the hospital where he was often in 'critical condition'.
During his initial formal public appearance following his ongoing recovery away from the hospital, he delivered a concise statement on the stage.

The Pontiff was wearing an oxygen tube to receive supplementary air during the Sunday event in front of supporters and Vatican cardinals.
The Pope was discharged On March 22, when he made a short appearance on the hospital balcony to greet his supporters with a wave, keen to get back to work.
For an extended period, he has been struggling with breathing problems. In his youth, a section of one of his lungs was taken out.

On February 14, the Pope was hospitalized due to a respiratory issue, which involved bronchitis and pneumonia, as well as mild kidney dysfunction and frequent bouts of coughing.

The leader of the Catholic Church underwent blood transfusions following indications of anemia.
