According to KAIST on Thursday, G-Dragon's track "Home Sweet Home" (2024) has been dispatched into space.
The track "Home Sweet Home" was launched into space on Wednesday via a cutting-edge miniature satellite created by KAIST's Space Institute. Additionally, G-Dragon’s vocals were incorporated and blended with the song utilizing artificial intelligence technology.
The project was set up prior to the launch of the AI Entertainment Technology Research Center, which will be founded in partnership with KAIST and G-Dragon’s company, Galaxy Corporation. G-Dragon is a professor visiting KAIST’s mechanical engineering department , whose term is scheduled to end in 2026.

As the tune "Home Sweet Home" traveled into space, a cinema-inspired digital art installation named "Iris" was displayed on the satellite’s antenna through projection mapping techniques. This creation, developed by Professor Lee Jin-joon from KAIST's Graduate School of Culture Technology, utilized artificial intelligence to produce the visual content, which was derived from an image of G-Dragon’s eye.
Professor Lee stated, “The iris is often referred to as the window to the soul and serves as a reflection of our feelings and self.” He added, “This piece of art intends to depict the boundless cosmos as perceived through both human eyes and those of G-Dragon.”
KAIST strives to investigate novel potentialities in its satellite tech and simultaneously demonstrate how seamlessly science can integrate into societal realms in an accessible manner.
“KAIST is a place that backs innovative concepts and ventures,” stated President Lee Kwang-hyung of KAIST. “Similar to our latest initiative blending science, technology, and art, we will persistently promote original investigations into uncharted territories.”
