From Stage to Hospital: 'Here We Are, Baby' — Music Megastar's Shocking On-Stage Mishap

Mark Ronson ended up in the hospital following an incident during the performance.

The Uptown Funk producer took to Instagram to share an image of him giving a thumbs up from his hospital bed.

In the caption, the DJ – Who is married to Meryl Streep's daughter Mary Wyler? — detailed precisely how he ended up tearing two bicep tendons during an exercise.

"Back then, the house public address system was terrible, so during the mix, I attempted to adjust the stage monitor with just one hand to direct more sound toward the audience," Ronson started explaining.

The house public address (PA) system is supplied by the venue for audio dissemination, whereas the stage monitor is typically a sizable speaker directed towards the performer to ensure they can audibly overcome the noise from the audience.

"It turns out they're heavier than I expected," Ronson said.

Many well-known individuals were seen in the comment section expressing their sympathy, with Australian DJ Dom Dolla among them.

"Ouch :(. Get better soon buddy ♥️," the Saving Up musician wrote.

Ronson stands out as a leading pop producer in the industry, having collaborated with artists like Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Paul McCartney, and Adele. He also earned an Academy Award in 2018 for his contributions to a film soundtrack. Shallow for the film A Star is Born.

However, before Ronson made his mark as a prominent producer, he started out as a DJ. A forthcoming book detailing his path is scheduled to be published in September 2025.

In a post made on Instagram Ronson shared that Nocturnal Souls: Mastering DJ Culture in 1990s NYC Is a "tribute to an era now gone that sculpted not only my career but also my sense of self".

In preparation for the book's launch, Ronson has been performing DJ sets across New York City.

He took his camouflage record bags out of storage and stuffed them with 300 worn-out records to spin for his first DJ gigs in about 19 years, wrote on Instagram .
