Browns Eye Quarterback in Second Round of NFL Draft

The Cleveland Browns anticipated selecting their new cornerstone quarterback using the second overall selection in the upcoming NFL Draft scheduled for later this month.
However, since the Tennessee Titans are very likely to select Miami’s Cam Ward with their first pick, and recent reports suggest that Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders has seen his draft status decline over the last month, Cleveland may have to look further down in the draft order to secure a quarterback.
On Monday, According to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, Alabama's quarterback, Jalen Milroe, reportedly participated in recent private workouts with the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints.

Milroe isn't considered a top-tier quarterback, which means he won't be selected early enough for the team picking at number two. However, Cleveland has another opportunity later in the draft as they possess the thirty-third overall selection, which falls within the second round.
He's recognized as a playmaking quarterback with the speed of a running back. At his Alabama Pro Day workout, he clocked a time of 4.40 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
Over four seasons at Alabama in a total of 38 games, Milroe has achieved a completion rate of 64.3% completing 426 out of 663 passes, accumulating 6,016 passing yards along with 45 touchdowns against 20 interceptions.
The 6-foot-2, 201-pound player also contributed with 375 rushes for 1,577 yards and an additional 33 touchdowns on the ground.
