'Bridgerton' Actress Sends a Scathing Message to Harry Potter Author J.K. Rowling

The Bridgerton actress directly criticized J.K. Rowling through social media on Friday following the Harry Potter the author's public displays of joy over the UK Supreme Court's decision stating that transgender women are not considered legal females.

As a consequence of Rowling's controversial political views, Coughlan, at least, will not be approaching anything related to the new project. Harry Potter TV series During its development phase at Max, J.K. Rowling serves as an executive producer for the reboot project.
On Friday, April 18, Coughlan, who is 38 years old, posted on Instagram to share an article regarding Rowling's recent endorsement of the anti-trans ruling in the UK. In her message, she wrote, "Carry on with your new Harry Potter stuff, guys."
"I wouldn't go near it with a ten-foot pole," the Irish actress commented.
Rowling, who has frequently spoken out about her contentious views regarding the transgender community, welcomed the UK Supreme Court's historic decision on Wednesday. The ruling states that only individuals classified as female at birth qualify as women under equality legislation.
Taking to X (Twitter Blue) Rowling stated that the decision would safeguard the rights of women and girls throughout the UK.
She subsequently celebrated the news With a selfie showing her smoking a cigar and holding a drink, she wrote in the caption, "I love when a plan comes together," alongside the hashtags "#SupremeCourt" and "#WomensRights."
