Brentwood Students Impacted by Palisades Fire Receive Magical Disney Surprise at School

The children affected by the Palisades Fire had their playground magically turned into a Disney paradise, aimed at bringing additional joy during this challenging period of their childhood.

Students from Brentwood Elementary School of Science Magnet and Palisades Charter Elementary had an exciting time participating in a Disney-themed "Field Day" this week, complete with beloved Disney characters and numerous fun-filled activities.

The parent company of ABC7 is Disney, and this event is a testament to their ongoing dedication to spreading additional happiness among children and families affected by the recent wildfires.

The Palisades Charter building was mostly ruined by the catastrophe; therefore, the students, teachers, and personnel currently reside temporarily at the same location as the Brentwood school.

The special moment wasn't just enjoyable; it was also a means of healing.

"It’s all about happiness, magic, and providing solace to children who have had their lives completely disrupted,” stated Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent Alberto Carvalho.

“We’re still quite damaged, but this is incredibly wonderful,” stated Juliet Heman. “It’s these experiences that help us mend. What I truly hope for is that this community unites and discovers a beacon of hope during this challenging time.”

Naturally, the kids were enthusiastic to share details about their day.

"This is one of the most enjoyable events that has ever taken place at this school," stated Greyson Johnson.

Disney Field Day is assisting in crafting joyful, fresh memories for certain students who have undoubtedly faced many challenges.

The parent company of this ABC station is Disney.
